Tutorial 1


Worked quickly through tutorial 1. Most of it I'd done already in this scene.

I experimented with bevelling the Pumphouse point building edges. Just added a slight bevel to many of the edges.

The bevel gave the corners a very smooth look (bevelled on the right side, original on the left), gives kind of an anti aliasing effect as well in unity.  I'm not sure which i prefer. Maybe even less bevel would be better.

The bevelling also introduced an error with a missing face on the model when imported into unity.

I then imported some free characters from the unity assett store. They were all purple to begin with because I set the scene up using HDRP pipeline, but i found a fix online (switch shaders to standard and convert the materials to hdrp) and got them working. This was a handy tip to find because I'd run into a similar problem before and didn't realise it was such an easy fix.
